In 2012 I made a brave decision. To move to the other side of the world. I think this was the moment when my story began. Taiwan was an amazing country with amazing people and environment and I found exactly what I was looking for, myself. I learned a completely new language and traditions I had only seen in movies. I learned to interact with people from all around the world. I traveled, I ate and I studied. Who knew that China’s economic decline in the second half of the 19th century was, in part, the result of the devastation of China’s agricultural lands following the Opium Wars and the Taiping Rebellion or that the economic rise of South Korea is Japan to thank for (as is the rapid development of the Taiwanese economic growth).
After finishing my Masters studies in regional studies and geography I left Finland once again to go and work in the heart of Europe. I worked closely with EU policies related to renewable energy and environmental science working partially as a researcher and partially as a lobbyist with tasks including project management and event coordination (yeah what a multitasker). After two years I find myself still in Brussels, but this time inside the EU wheel now managing funds and future growth.
One year ago something changed. I felt I needed something to realize my inner desire to do something creative and inspire people in my own way. Photography and dance didn’t fulfill that vacuum anymore. And so came YouTube and social media. My video diaries can be found from this site and ONLY press this button if you feel courageous.
For more exciting facts about me, feel free to check my introduction video (only in Finnish).
